A leading European compaction researcher will be in Arthur soon. Matthias Stettler will be talking everything compaction-related at the Shawridge Farms Grain Elevator on Thursday, September 7th between 9am and 4pm. Stettler will have multiple soil pit demos that will measure and show compaction damage caused by a variety of heavy equipment and axle configurations. This is an excellent opportunity for farmers to learn how compaction impacts soil structure, rainfall absorption, erosion and overall soil health.
