Vote To End Poverty Campaign

The Prosperity Roundtable is asking people to use ballots to end poverty.

Coordinator Kate do Forno says the group is handing out signs, brochures and buttons with the phrase Will Vote To End Poverty.

"A non-partisan advocacy campaign encouraging local community members to really think hard and ask their politicians about the micro economy issues affect individuals in their homes," she says. "I think you really need to ask yourself the tough questions about what you believe will help individuals most, and then vote based on those values and ensure you get out there on October 19."

do Forno says the group is not advocating for or against any party but asking voters to examine issues themselves.

There will be a Chamber of Commerce candidates debate tonight at the Chatham-Kent Civic Centre. Chatham-Kent Leamington is 6:30pm and Lambton Kent Middlesex at 8pm.
