With the former Hurricane Patricia heading toward the area high winds and intense rain could cause flooding problems.
Winds are likely to increase today and overnight and by tomorrow afternoon they could be at 55 km/h gusting to 90 (35 - 55 mph).
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority says it's going to be south wind so the shore of Lake Erie could face erosion and shoreline flooding.
The storm could bring 25 to 50 mm ( 1 - 2 in) of rain. There could be low level flooding but the ground should be able to handle it unless it all hits at once.
The LTVCA also advises cleaning leaves out of catch basins if they are clogged with leaves to help prevent water pooling.
