Chatham-Kent's Children's Treatment Centre will continue helping its clients move into adulthood, thanks to the provincial government.
The Centre has received a $287,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. It'll go towards the centre's Life Links program, which provides avenues for their clients to transition from the Treatment Centre to CK's adult programming.

"It also involves one-to-one goal coaching," says Social Worker Katie McCall. "Those who have goals in mind, things they want to achieve like post-secondary education, employment or participation in the community."
Cristian Picard is a former client of the centre, and the Life Links program. He says he was close to dropping out of high school before finding Life Links.
"The treatment centre sat me down and said 'Cristian, what do you want to do with the rest of your life?' says Picard. "I said that I think I'm funny, and [now] one of my goals is speaking and advocacy."
The $287,000 will be given to the Children's Treatment Centre over the next three years.
