New Medical Leadership Announced For CKHA

As part of a new medical leadership structure, the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) has appointed new chief and medical program directors.

On Thursday, the CKHA announced the seven appointees who will comprise the organization's Medical Advisory Committee.

The CKHA says the new leadership structure will encourage physician leaders and hospital administrators to work collaboratively to support quality care and utilization resources.

"We are confident our new medical leadership will ensure we continue our focus on providing high quality, patient centred care while ensuring value and accountability within the healthcare system," says Rob Devitt, hospital supervisor, in a news release.

The new chief and medical program directors are as follows:

  • Dr. Francis Musyoki, chief and program medical director of diagnostic imaging.
  • Dr. Reda Saad, chief and program medical director of laboratory services
  • Dr. Neerja Sharma, chief of OB/Gyn and co-medical director of the Women and Children's Program
  • Dr. Zeke Milkovic, chief and program medical director of family medicine
  • Dr. Mahmud Rajabalee, chief and program medical director of medicine
  • Dr. James Paintsil, chief of anaesthesia and co-medical director of the Surgical Program
  • Dr. Elizabeth Haddad, chief of surgery and co-medical director of the Surgical Program
The chief and medical directors positions for emergency, paediatrics and mental health and addictions remain in progress.
