Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is voluntarily recalling almost 297,000 Dodge Grand Caravans because of a problem with the driver-side front airbag.
A release from the company says wiring may chafe against pieces of the steering-wheel trim, which could cause a short-circuit, potentially setting off the airbag.
Approximately 209,000 2011-2012 model year minivans are being recalled in the U.S., and 87,703 in Canada.
Customers are advised to book an appointment with their dealer to come in and have the wiring replaced free of charge.
Customers with questions or concerns can call the FCA US Customer Recall Information Centre at 1-800-853-1403.
