Mischief at Chatham pizza shop
A 37-year-old Chatham man is charged with two counts of mischief after someone broke a window at a local pizza place.
Chatham-Kent police found the broken window and some spray painted graffiti at Koka's Pizza in Chatham while they were responding to an alarm at around 5:30 a.m. on Friday.
Officers estimated the damages at $2,000 and were able to identify a suspect in connection with the case.
He was arrested yesterday afternoon, charged with mischief, and released with conditions and a future court date.

Man arrested for domestic assault, threatening to kill dog
A 51-year-old Chatham man is facing a handful of charges after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and threatening to kill their dog.
Police say they responded to the call early Monday morning at a residence in Chatham.
The man police arrested is charged with assault, uttering threats to kill an animal, forcible confinement, uttering threats to property, and breaching his probation. He was being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
A woman was taken to the hospital for medical attention of undisclosed injuries.

Alleged drunk driver stopped by OPP
A 59-year-old man from Middlesex is in trouble with the law following a traffic stop on Communication Road.
Chatham-Kent OPP said a vehicle was pulled over near Colborne Street on October 27, around 11:45 p.m. Officers suspected the driver of consuming alcohol and took him into custody for tests. He was then charged with driving a vehicle with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.
The 59-year-old will have to answer to the charge in court on November 23.

Theft reported at Ridgetown grocery store
Chatham-Kent police have charged a 70-year-old Ridgetown man in connection with an alleged shoplifting incident.
Officers said the man was arrested Sunday morning after police responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Foodland in Ridgetown.
Police said the man was charged with theft and possession of stolen property -- he was also wanted for assault and failing to attend court last month.

Man turns himself in on domestic-related offences
A 42-year-old Chatham man is facing several charges in connection with a domestic violence investigation.
Chatham-Kent police said the man was wanted in connection with an investigation that started earlier this month after a Chatham woman reported that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend during their relationship.
A suspect was arrested early Monday morning after he turned himself in at police headquarters.
He was charged with three counts of assault -- including one with a weapon -- two counts of failing to comply with a prohibition order, and one count of breach of probation.
The accused was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Man charged with uttering threats
A 28-year-old London man is charged with threats and weapons-related offences after an argument broke out in Chatham.
Police said the man is accused of pulling out a knife in an aggressive manner and threatening a man while he was speaking with two men he knows at a residence in Chatham.
Officers were called in, arrested a man, and seized a knife.
The accused was charged and released with conditions and a future court date.

Expired licence plate sticker tips off police
Chatham-Kent police have charged a 32-year-old Walpole Island man after he was allegedly driving a vehicle without authorized licence plates or insurance while his driver's licence was also suspended.
Police said the man was pulled over on Lowe Avenue in Wallaceburg Sunday night after an officer on general patrol spotted a vehicle with an expired validation sticker.
Investigators said the licence plates that were on the vehicle at the time were registered to another vehicle, so they were seized along with the man's driver's licence.
The vehicle was also towed from the scene.
