The Parry Bridge on Keil Drive in Chatham will be a busy spot during the lunch hour on Friday.
The Zonta Club of Chatham-Kent is holding a "Rally on the Bridge" to end violence against women.
"People from any walk of life come and join us," said Hilary Henley from the Zonta Club. "I'm optimistic that we are going to have some police officers joining us, and that sends a considerable message."
Henley said the #MeToo movement has really helped raise awareness.
"People are becoming very aware that violence against women can look different. It can be sexual abuse, it can be domestic violence, physical abuse," she said. "Violence against women shows itself in lots of different ways."
The rally will take place from 12:15 p.m. until 12:45 p.m., and everyone is invited.
"The most awesome thing would be if we could fill this bridge," said Henley. "It's only half an hour, so come out and support this, and make your own views known about how you feel about violence against women."
Participants are encouraged to wear orange, and signs will be provided.
