Licence plates stolen from vehicles in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are trying to track down some licence plates that were taken from two different vehicles earlier this week.

Police said a vehicle that was parked in a St. Clair Street shopping plaza parking lot had its rear licence plate removed sometime between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

It has an Ontario marker BVLC 346.

In a separate incident on Tuesday, the front and rear licence plates were taken from a vehicle that was parked at a business on Thames Street.

The stolen plates have an Ontario marker CDVC 742.

Anyone with information on either of these incidents is asked to contact Chatham-Kent police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) and may be eligible for a cash reward.
