Officer donates personal winter gear to man in need

A selfless act by a Chatham-Kent police officer is getting some special recognition.

CK police tweeted on Tuesday that Constable Larry Johnson went out of his way to make sure a man who wasn't dressed for the cold winter weather outside walked away properly protected.

The man had reportedly walked into police headquarters Tuesday, seeking assistance when Const. Johnson noticed he didn't have adequate winter gear for the bitter cold, so he walked out to his vehicle, grabbed his personal winter hat and gloves and gave them to the man.
