Three arrested on warrants 

CK police were able to nab three people who were all wanted on outstanding warrants.

First, on Saturday afternoon, police on general patrol located a man who was wanted for theft.

The 24-year-old Chatham man was arrested and eventually released with a future court date.

Also on Saturday afternoon, officers on general patrol located a man who was wanted for theft and possession of stolen property as well as for breaching his probation order.

The 50-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and later released pending a future court date.

Then early Sunday morning, police on patrol located a man who was wanted for failing to comply with his release order.

When officers searched the man, he was found in possession of a small amount of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

The 26-year-old Chatham man was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance. He has been released pending a future court date.

Break and enters in CK

Police are looking for tips from the public after a pair of break and enters in the municipality.

Saturday morning between 12 a.m. and 4 a.m., unknown suspects entered a garage on Riverview Line.

Once inside, they rummaged through vehicles and got away with approximately $1,000 worth of property.

Police are also reporting that two additional storage units were broken into on Lambton Line sometime on Friday.

On Saturday, police initially reported that six storage units were damaged and four were entered.

Anyone with information on either incident is asked to contact police.

Police conduct traffic blitz.

Officers are reminding people to stay safe on the roadways after conducting a traffic enforcement initiative on Saturday.

It took place on Longwoods Road. Hundreds of drivers were observed and police issued 12 provincial offence notices for speeding.
