Fake money used to pay cab fare
A man accused of using counterfeit money to pay for cab fare in Chatham is facing charges.
It's alleged a 35-year-old Chatham man used a fake $50 bill to pay a fare early Monday morning while he was out past his curfew.
The 35-year-old was arrested and charged with possessing counterfeit money, using counterfeit money, and two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.

Wanted man arrested
A 23-year-old Chatham man wanted for robbery has been arrested.
Police received information on the whereabouts of a man wanted for robbery, forcible confinement, and three counts of failing to comply with his release conditions.
Officers went to a home on Harvey Street on Sunday night, where the 23-year-old allegedly tried to run away by going through a rear window.
He was arrested and held in police custody pending a bail hearing.

No injuries in Chatham collision
A driver has been charged with making an unsafe turn following a two-vehicle collision in Chatham.
Officers were called to Keil Drive near Kerr Avenue on Sunday afternoon.
No injuries were reported. Damage from the collision is estimated at $3,000 ------------
Stolen items found in Chatham
A report of suspicious activity in the Jackson Park area on Sunday led officers to find some stolen items.
Police said tools, a Stihl grass trimmer and bicycles were found in the area. The grass trimmer was reported stolen from a church, and the tools and bicycles were reported stolen from a nearby home.

Vehicle stolen in Howard Township
Officers are looking for a silver 2007 Chrysler 300 reported stolen in Howard Township.
Police said a break-in at the compound at Sunny Acres on Talbot Trail happened sometime between noon and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Someone forced their way in and took off with a vehicle and three car batteries. Police said the vehicle was unplated.
