Facebook message gets Chatham man into trouble
A 49-year-old Chatham man is facing more charges now after he allegedly contacted a woman he was supposed to stop speaking with.
Police said the man was released from the court last month with several conditions, one of which was that he wasn't supposed to communicate with a specific Chatham woman.
Officers said they learned Thursday night that the man had called the woman and sent her a Facebook message as well.
As a result, police tracked him down and arrested him. He was charged with two counts of failing to comply with his release conditions and taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
