Nearly 81 per cent of eligible Sarnia-Lambton residents are fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
Lambton Public Health said 80.8 per cent of individuals 12-years-old and up have had two doses of a vaccine, while 83.9 per cent have had one shot.
Since the vaccination rollout launched in late January, a total of 192,708 doses of vaccine have been administered.
The health unit reported four more confirmed cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, up to 4,250 since the start of the pandemic. There were 10 more resolved cases for a total of 4,136, lowering the active case count by six to 43.
There are four outbreaks, up one from Tuesday. The latest was declared at an unnamed local business.
Bluewater Health had seven COVID-positive patients in hospital, down one.
The local incidence rate per 100,000 population spiked to 42.8 for the week of October 31 to November 6, from 26.7 the week before. The positivity rate was also higher at 3.8 per cent from 2.5 per cent.
