Chatham residents will once again be able to lace up their skates at municipally-run facilities.
Now that many restrictions have been lifted, the municipality is making a gradual return to regular programming at local arenas.
Select indoor recreation programs at community centres will return Monday, November 15, with additional programs returning later this week.
According to city staff, the delay in these programs was due to provincial restrictions related to COVID-19.
Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 will be mandatory for anyone aged 12 and older who wants to enter or participate at an indoor sports and recreational facility in Chatham-Kent.
As of November 30, 2021, all eligible individuals aged 12 and over will be required to show identification and proof of full vaccination, which is two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine plus 14 days following the second dose.
A full list of arena ice programming and their schedules can be found on Chatham-Kent's website.
