Breaching Charges

Police in Chatham-Kent have charged two people for not following their release conditions.

Police said a 49-year-old Chatham woman has been charged for allegedly breaking her bail conditions, including not to be within 25 metres of a specific address on Blythewood Crescent in Chatham.

She was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with failing to comply after officers found an unwanted person standing in the driveway at this address.

A 41-year-old Chatham man has also been charged for failing to comply with court release orders after police discovered he was not home or with his sureties.

The man was to remain in his residence, except for medical emergencies, court appearances, or in the presence of either of his sureties.

The suspect was also arrested Sunday afternoon.

Vehicle Thefts in Thamesville

Chatham-Kent police are looking for multiple stolen vehicles.

Police said a red 2008 Chrysler Sebring convertible was stolen from a garage on Victoria Street sometime Sunday between 6:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The car was last seen with Ontario license plates CXVK 952.

Two transport trucks were also stolen in Wallaceburg on Saturday night around midnight from a compound on Gillard Street.

Police said they had trailers loaded with recycled aluminum and zinc ingots.

One transport had Ontario license plates PA42 924 and its trailer had Ontario license plate S47 51K.

The other transport had Ontario license plates 735 2PW and its trailer had Ontario license plate P30 12A.
