Police are investigating after a pair of weekend collisions in Chatham-Kent.
The first collision occurred on King Street East near Prince Street in Chatham at around 8:15 p.m. on Saturday.
The collision involved a single motor vehicle and a motorcycle.
Police said a 39-year-old Chatham man was driving a motorcycle heading eastbound on King Street East when it veered into the westbound lane and collided with a car.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with serious injuries.
Police said the man was later transferred to Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus for further treatment and remains in serious condition.
The driver of the car was not injured.
The second collision occurred on Kent Bridge Road at Fairview Line at around 6:47 a.m. on Sunday.
Police said a vehicle containing eight occupants was travelling eastbound on Fairview Line when the driver failed to stop for the stop sign at Kent Bridge Road.
The vehicle struck a ditch on the opposite side of the intersection.
Police said all occupants were transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with various injuries.
Four of the occupants were later transported by Ornge air ambulance to London Victoria Hospital and Windsor Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Both accidents have been taken over by the traffic management unit for investigation.
