Wanted man arrested for lying to the police
A 40-year-old Chatham-Kent man is in trouble after he allegedly provided police with fake identification.
Police were called at 7 a.m. Monday regarding an unwanted person walking around houses on Bedford Street.
When the police arrived, the man reportedly presented false identification.
Officers later learned his correct identity and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
When officers searched the man during his arrest, he was found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl.
The man was arrested and charged with obstructing the police and possessing a controlled substance. He was taken back to police headquarters before he was released with conditions and a future court date.

A 25-year-old wanted Chatham-Kent man was arrested Tuesday morning after police responded to Poplar Street in Chatham for suspicious activity.
Officers confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for a theft investigation.
The man was arrested and charged with theft and possessing stolen property. He was released with a future court date.

Woman Arrested for 2 counts of physical violence
A 41-year-old Windsor woman is in trouble after police responded to a domestic dispute on Ferguson Street in Thamesville Tuesday morning.
Police said the couple had engaged in a verbal altercation the evening before, which escalated when one struck and commented about harming the other.
The woman was arrested and charged with uttering threats and two counts of assault. She was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date.
