Wanted man found lying on the sidewalk
A 38-year-old Chatham-Kent man is in more trouble with the law after he was allegedly found lying on the sidewalk in downtown Chatham Tuesday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police said they picked the man up in the area of King Street and Fifth Street at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday after confirming that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to comply with his probation.
The man was taken into custody and later released with a future court date.

Woman wanted for skipping court turns up in Wallaceburg
A 46-year-old Wallaceburg woman will get a police escort to the courtroom after she allegedly skipped a previous date with a judge.
CK police said an officer on general patrol saw her on King Street in Wallaceburg shortly after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and "recognized the woman from previous interactions."
The officer was able to confirm that the woman was wanted for failing to attend court, so she was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
The woman was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham man charged after threats over social media
An 18-year-old Chatham man is finding out the hard way that even threats made over social media can land you in police custody.
Police said they made the arrest after officers were called to Patteson Avenue for a threat investigation shortly before 1 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers said they learned the man had allegedly threatened to harm the victims via a social media audio messaging platform during an argument.
The man accused of making the threats was arrested at his residence, charged, and taken to police headquarters.
He was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Question from concerned citizens sets off Chatham man
A 53-year-old Chatham man is facing a pair of charges after he allegedly threatened some people who asked him if he was OK.
Police said they were told the victims were outside of their apartment building when the man walked by and that they asked the man if he was OK because he looked like he was upset.
At that point, the man allegedly became "irate" and started yelling at the victims, also making threatening comments towards them.
Police got the call at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday and found the man at his residence.
He was arrested, charged with two counts of uttering threats, and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Call about a crash on the Hwy. 401 leads OPP to arrest an Alberta man
A 40-year-old man from St. Albert, Alberta who was out on house arrest is back in police custody after he turned up on the Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.
OPP with the Chatham Detachment said they found the man while they were responding to a report of a motor vehicle collision on the westbound Hwy. 401 near the 100-Kilometer mark in Chatham-Kent at around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Officers said when they got to the scene, they determined no collision had taken place, but they also learned that the person they found there was violating the conditions of his release order.
He was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions and was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.
