The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent (CTCFCK) is celebrating a successful holiday fundraising campaign.
On Thursday, CTCF officials reported the campaign significantly surpassed its goal by raising "an astounding" $62,215.
Officials gushed this achievement was made possible through the "overwhelming support of the community" and a matching program started by "generous" board members Carson Warrener and Kevin Owen.
The campaign was launched on December 4, 2023 and aimed to double donations through a matching initiative for the first $10,000 contributed by December 31, 2023.
Warrener and Owen are being praised for their commitment to matching donations because it played a pivotal role in the campaign's success, said CTCF officials.
Foundation President Mike Genge expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying the community's response was nothing short of remarkable and demonstrated profound generosity and commitment to making a difference in the lives of children.
"We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our community, our dedicated Board members, and everyone who contributed to the success of this campaign. Your generosity has not only met but exceeded our expectations, ensuring that we can continue to provide essential services and support to children and families in need," said Genge.
The CTC Foundation noted it remains dedicated to transforming the lives of children with special needs and their families.
The funds raised during this campaign will directly support the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent in the areas that the CTC Foundation directly supports, including social work, therapeutic recreation, and music therapy and will ensure that more children and families have access to the support they need.
