Chatham teen accused of threatening someone he was banned from communicating with
An 18-year-old Chatham man is in more trouble with the law after he allegedly issued a threat to someone he wasn't supposed to be talking to in the first place.
Chatham-Kent police said they arrested him after they were called to St. Clair Street in Chatham for a threat investigation shortly after 9 p.m. Monday.
Officers said they learned the man had approached a woman and stated he was going to hurt her daughter.
The man also allegedly made a threatening gesture at the time.
Police learned that the man had previously been released with conditions that included a ban on him communicating with the woman or her daughter.
Officers later found him walking on St. Clair Street and arrested him.
The man was charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking and one count of uttering threats.
He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Wallaceburg man arrested after drive-thru disturbance
A 26-year-old Wallaceburg man spent some time sobering up in police custody early Tuesday morning after a bizarre string of events in the McDonald's drive-thru in his hometown.
CK police said they were called to the restaurant on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg shortly after 1 a.m. Tuesday for a disturbance and learned that a man had been "behaving erratically."
Officers said in this case, the man was reportedly jumping in and out of vehicles that were waiting in the drive-thru before trying to get into the drive-thru window at the McDonald's restaurant.
Police found the man and took him into custody as he was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself.
He was held at police headquarters until he was sober.

Alleged shoplifter stopped in Chatham
A 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man accused of stealing from a business on Wellington Street West in Chatham is facing a pair of charges.
Chatham-Kent police said they got a report just after 1:30 p.m. Monday that a man had entered the store and taken some items off of the shelves before leaving without paying for them.
Police were able to identify a suspect by reviewing some surveillance footage and found the man a short distance away with the stolen merchandise still in his possession.
He was arrested and charged with theft and possession of stolen property.

Man wanted for skipping court arrested in Wallaceburg
Chatham-Kent police are making sure a 35-year-old Wallaceburg man who missed his last appointment with a judge won't miss his next court appearance.
Police said they arrested the man while they were following up on a call about a disturbance on Willis Street in Wallaceburg shortly before 4 p.m. Monday.
Officers confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court and he was taken into custody pending a bail hearing.
He is currently charged with two counts of theft, two counts of possession of stolen property, one count of failing to comply with a probation order, and one count of failing to attend court.

Suspicious activity leads police to wanted woman
Chatham-Kent police have also caught up with a Chatham woman who was wanted for failing to attend court.
Police said they found her shortly before 9 p.m. Monday while they were following up on some suspicious activity in an alleyway on Joseph Street in Chatham.
Officers said they found two women there fixing a bicycle chain -- one of them was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
The 32-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters before she was later released with conditions and a future court date.
She is currently charged with five counts of unauthorized use of a credit card, three counts of possession of stolen property, two counts of theft, and one count of fraud.
