Man arrested after home invasion, assault
A 55-year-old man is facing a pair of charges after he allegedly broke into someone's home in Blenheim and assaulted them.
Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the address on Talbot Street West in Blenheim shortly before 11:30 a.m. Sunday and learned that the man and the victim are currently involved in a civil dispute.
Officers said they were told the accused had forced his way into the victim's home before assaulting him, which caused a "minor physical injury."
Police were able to track down a suspect a short time later and arrested him.
He was charged with break-and-enter and assault and was later released with conditions and a future court date.

TikTok Challenge draws the attention of police
Chatham-Kent police are issuing a notice to the public after someone "crying wolf" drew officers to Tweedsmuir Avenue East in Chatham.
Police said they responded to a 9-1-1 call just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday for a report of an individual screaming for help from a moving vehicle on Tweedsmuir Avenue East in Chatham, adding that officers quickly arrived at the area.
After police found the vehicle in question, officers confirmed that no one needed help, but that the occupants of the vehicle were recording a video for a TikTok Challenge.
Police are taking the opportunity to remind residents that they should exercise caution and responsibility when taking part in any "challenges" that could cause panic or unnecessary calls to emergency services.

Man arrested for public intoxication
A 24-year-old Chatham man spent the night at Chatham-Kent police headquarters after he was arrested outside of a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham late Sunday night.
CK police said they picked him up at around 11:50 p.m. Sunday after getting a call about a disturbance.
When officers found the man, they determined that he was intoxicated to the point where he couldn't care for himself, so he was arrested and taken into police custody until he sobered up.

Dresden man arrested following suspicious person investigation
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Chatham have charged a 30-year-old man from Dresden with failing to comply with a court release order.
Police said a pedestrian was stopped by an officer on Communication Road just after midnight on Sunday walking in complete darkness and insufficiently dressed for the weather conditions.
The OPP said the officer was concerned for the pedestrian's safety and stopped to assist the individual.
The officer determined the identity of pedestrian and discovered that the individual was violating conditions of an existing release order.
The accused was arrested without incident, according to provincial police.
