CKHA Foundation launches Holiday 50/50

Chatham-Kent residents can win big this holiday season while supporting local healthcare.

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) recently kicked off its third annual Igniting Healthcare Holiday 50/50 lottery.

This year's lottery supports Mammography Services at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA). The hospital's mammography equipment has reached the end of its lifespan. Updated imaging technology will help improve early detection, reduce downtime, and decrease the need for repeat scans or follow-up procedures, while providing faster, clearer results that help patients feel more confident and supported throughout the screening process.

"As more patients turn to our hospital for screening, we need tools that match today's expectations for quality, accuracy, and comfort," said Christine Mitchell, President and CEO of CKHAF. "That's where community support is so powerful. Together, we can help strengthen breast imaging services right here at home."

Tickets are on sale now, with six early-bird prizes up for grabs throughout December. A prize of $1,000 will be given away on December 2, 4, 9, and 11. A prize of $2,000 will be given away on December 16, and $4,000 will be awarded on December 18. The grand prize draw will take place on Tuesday, January 6. At last check, the winner's jackpot was over $8,000 and rising.

Last year's Holiday 50/50 winner took home $65,200. Since 2019, the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 has handed out more than $1 million in prizes while helping the CKHA invest in vital diagnostic tools and healthcare services for the community.

Tickets can be purchased online at ignite5050.ca, in person at the CKHAF office at 9 Ursuline Avenue in Chatham (Monday through Thursday), and at select pop-up events across the region.

Players must be at least 18 years old and physically located in Ontario at the time of purchase.
