Some of the strongest women in North America will be in Ridgetown showing off their strength.
'Queen of the Table,' Canada's first arm wrestling competition for women in 10 years, will be held on Saturday at Yeck's Station 11 restaurant.
Women from as far as eastern Canada, Colorado, and Florida are making the trip for the event.
Organizer Gina Stuckless was on CK Mornings on 94.3 CKSY with hosts Chris McLeod and Allanah Wills, where she explained that anyone thinking that this event will be dull is dead wrong.
"We have a lot of women coming in that were competing in strongman competitions, power lifting competitions. I myself, before I started arm wrestling, I was a figure bodybuilder," she said.
Many talented arm wrestlers are making the trip, as the event is a qualifier for the Arnold Classic Armwrestling Championship in Ohio.
Walk-ons are allowed, but they shouldn't expect to have much success.
"It's good to have strength and speed, but technique always wins," added Stuckless.
The buy-in is $20, with donations also being accepted. All cash will go to the Chatham-Kent Women's Center, while all non-perishable food will be distributed to local food banks.
Weigh-ins will happen from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. with the competition starting at 11 a.m.
