Wrestling will take over the backyard at Sons of Kent this Friday night for a good cause.
Maple Leaf Pro (MLP) Wrestling will bring Headlocks for Hospice to Chatham in support of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
"Whether you're a wrestling fan or not, and if you are or have them in the fam, this is for you Friday night," said Jay Smith, Fundraising Manager for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. "But even if you're not, this is such a weird, unique live theatrical soap opera event that you're going to find something you enjoy and walk away with a smile and a laugh."
Some MPL wrestling superstars will be there.
"Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling, featuring former WWE Intercontinental and European Champion D-Lo Brown, will be with us at Sons of Kent this Friday night, including the whole cast of characters, your favourite MLP superstars," said Smith.
All of the money raised stays local and goes right back into the hospice.
"They're going to help out all of those operating needs," said Smith. "Our care coordination programming to help folks navigate from that diagnosis, that terminal diagnosis all the way to end-of-life care. Also, our grief and bereavement programming, which is free to all residents of Chatham-Kent.
