Chatham Superstore's rare lobster moving to Ripley's Aquarium

A one-in-30 million lobster discovered in Chatham has found a new home.

Last week, employees at the community's Real Canadian Superstore realized one of their lobsters was orange.

After realizing just how rare it was, they decided not to sell it and instead find it a new home.

Staff also decided to name the lobster Pumpkin.

One employee reached out to Ripley's Aquarium of Canada in Toronto, which agreed to take care of Pumpkin.

"From the moment he arrived, he captured the hearts of our customers, our team, and everyone who had the chance to stop by and say hello. While we’re definitely going to miss seeing his bright orange little claws around here, we couldn’t be happier knowing that Pumpkin is off to his new home and will continue to amaze people," read a post on the Real Canadian Superstore's Facebook page.

Pumpkin became quite the attraction at the store, with several staff, customers, and community members visiting the seafood department just to take photos.
