In Junior B hockey -- the Chatham Maroons lost 5-3 to London, ending their 11-game winning streak. Lucas Patton was busy in net for the Maroons, making 51 saves in the loss.

In Junior C hockey -- the Wallaceburg Lakers were shutout 5-0 by Amherstburg -- the Dresden Kings lost 9-3 to Lakeshore -- and the Blenheim Blades fell to Essex 4-2.

In the NFL -- Matthew Stafford threw for 240 yards and a touchdown, but the Detroit Lions lost 20-13 to the Texans.
In other football action -- the Buffalo Bills lost 41-25 in New England -- while Washington and Cincinnati played to a 27-27 tie in London, England. That's the second tie in as many weeks after Seattle and Arizona played to a 6-6 draw last week. It's also the first time since 1997 that there have been two ties in the same NFL season.
