As the snow melts, officials at the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority continue to keep a close eye on water levels.
Widespread flooding is not expected this week, following several days in a row with temperatures above the freezing mark.
However, the authority is warning everyone to stay away from riverbanks, streams, ponds and culverts due to unstable and slippery conditions.
A snow survey done on March 16 shows there is about 40mm of water content still in the snow that is left.
Localized flooding is anticipated in low lying areas. Residents are being asked to clear drains and sewers. However, those levels are higher near St. Marys.
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority in Chatham-Kent has issued a flood warning for that region.
