Knights Invite Public to Year-End Celebration

Although their season came to an abrupt end in the semi-finals, on Thursday afternoon the London Knights will host an open-house style autograph session followed by an award ceremony.

Fans can enter Budweiser Gardens through Gate 5 off Dundas street beginning at 3:30pm. The entire team will be available for autographs from 4-5pm.

The public can stay for the award ceremony scheduled from 5-5:30pm where players will be given honours for Rookie of the Year, Team MVP, Playoff Performer and other categories.

This is the end of OHL the road for some Knights players, who are moving on to higher calibre hockey.

Forward Matt Rupert tells Blackburn News, “I think I’m going to the Toronto Marlies for the rest of this season. “I’m not sure if they have signed me yet, but I’ll see what happens”

Team Captain Max Domi says he is looking forward to taking the next few weeks off before training for the Arizona Coyotes’ opening game in October.

The Knights were eliminated Tuesday night on home ice when they were swept by the Erie Otters four games straight in the Western Conference semi-finals.
