Police are investigating after a bomb threat prompted an evacuation at a Jewish centre in London.
The London Police Service said officers were notified of the threat and responded to the London Jewish Community Centre at 536 Huron St., on Tuesday around 10:20am. Firefighters and paramedics helped to evacuate the centre so officers could conduct a search of the building and surrounding area.
Constable Sandasha Bough said nothing suspicious was located in or outside of the building, and employees were allowed back inside the centre at around 12pm.
Bough said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The bomb threat comes the same day as 14 other similar threats to Jewish community centres across the United States, according to USA Today. A similar wave of bomb threats on January 18 saw 27 centers targeted in the U.S. And on January 9, 16 centers in the U.S. were targeted.
