Families renew plea for tips in triple murder

Three and a half months after the bodies of three people were found in Middlesex Centre, provincial police and the victims' families are again appealing to the public for information.

In a video posted to social media Thursday, the sister of Alan Porter made a tearful plea for anyone who knows anything about the triple murder to come forward.

"The waiting is killing us. All three of these guys, their kids are growing up without their dad, without their mother. It is tough going on without them, but it is tougher knowing that there is killers in our community," Linda Porter stated in the one minute and 13-second video.

The bodies of Alan Porter, 33, Melissa Miller, 37, and Michael Jamieson, 32, all from Six Nations of the Grand River, were discovered with a stolen grey 2006 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck in a field off of Bodkin Road near Jones Road outside of Oneida Nation of the Thames on the morning of November 4.

Autopsies were performed two days following the grisly discovery, however, the cause of death has not been released by police.

In a news conference held in the weeks that followed, investigators revealed Miller was seven months pregnant at the time of her death and that the trio were close friends. Porter was a father of two, Jamieson was a father of five, and Miller a mother of five and grandmother of one.

A dedicated tip line was set-up at 1-844-677-5050. It remains active with police urging anyone with information to contact them. Tips can also be provided through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

The video, filmed with the support of all three victims' families, includes an array of pictures of Miller, Porter, and Jamieson.

A 36-year-old Six Nations of the Grand River woman was charged with three counts of accessory after the fact to murder in relation to the deaths on November 24.

Police have not confirmed or denied whether the triple homicide is linked to the murder of Douglas Hill, Miller’s former common-law partner whose body was found on Bodkin Road in August 2017.
