London police are investigating after another goose was shot with an arrow in a city park.
The injured goose was located by foot patrol officers off a bike path in Gibbon's Park, near Grosvenor Street around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday. The bird was taken to London Animal Care Centre for treatment.
This is the second goose in London to be shot with an arrow in a park since the start of the year.
On January 17, a concerned citizen found an African goose with an arrow sticking out of its body in Springbank Park. The arrow was removed by local animal rescue agency Salthaven Wildlife. The goose, nicknamed Bruce, was later taken to live on a 200-acre farm owned by two veterinarians to prevent any additional attacks against him, Salthaven tweeted.
Police are appealing to the public for information in regard to the two incidents as their investigation continues.
Anyone with knowledge of either of these two goose attacks is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
