Province-wide warrants issued for men in human trafficking investigation

One person has been arrested and police are looking for two others in connection with a human trafficking investigation in London.

The London Police Service said on Wednesday that a 24-year-old London woman has been arrested following the investigation that began on October 20 involving a female victim in her 20s who was trafficked in London and other Ontario cities over a period of around three weeks.

The accused woman, whose name cannot be released to avoid identifying the victim, is now charged with trafficking in a person by recruiting a person to provide sexual services for consideration. She has been released on bail and is scheduled to reappear in London court on December 19.

As well, London police have obtained Ontario-wide warrants for the arrest of two men from Surrey, British Columbia -- 22-year-old Elkan Vyizigiro (also known as "Lavish") and 22-year-old Meaz Nour-Eldin (also known as "Streets"). Both men are facing the following charges:

  • Trafficking in persons by recruiting
  • Procuring/recruit a person to provide sexual services for consideration
  • Financial/material benefit/trafficking person over 18
  • Material benefit from sexual services
  • Obtaining sexual services for consideration
  • Two counts of advertising another person’s sexual services.
Nour-Eldin is also facing charges of assault and uttering threats. As well, he is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for kidnapping and other offences related to a separate police investigation in British Columbia.

Vyizigiro is described as a 22-year-old black male, 5'6” tall, 160 pounds, with short black hair in braids, and a muscular build.

Nour-Eldin is described as a 22-year-old black male, 6'1” tall, 160 pounds, with short black hair in braids, crooked teeth, a small face, and a thin build.

Both men are considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone who spots either suspect is asked to call 911 immediately.

Investigators believe there may also be other victims in connection with the incident who are urged to contact the London police Human Trafficking Unit.
