The London region continues to see few new cases of COVID-19, following a one day spike reported over the weekend.
The Middlesex London Health Unit said two more people tested positive for the virus on Monday. That is up from zero on Sunday, but considerably less than the 12 recorded on Saturday.

For the second straight day, Elgin and Oxford counties had no new COVID-19 cases. The two days of zero are the first this month that the region hasn't seen its case count rise. The two counties have a total of 228 cases, with 85 of those infections recorded since the start of the month. The number of resolved cases when up by ten over the last 24 hour period to 191. There has not been a COVID-19 related death in Elgin or Oxford since July 3.
Woodstock's Woodingford Lodge is back open for visits and new admissions after it was confirmed an employee who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this month never actually had the virus.
Southwestern Public Health, the health unit for Oxford and Elgin, informed the care home on Monday that the worker's test results from August 9 were a false positive.
"We are relieved that there was no risk to our residents or other employees," Woodingford Lodge Director Mark Dager said in a statement. "We will always act with an abundance of caution to protect those in our care during the COVID-19 pandemic."
