Damage is estimated in the millions after a serious blaze that destroyed a building at a dairy farm in southeast London Tuesday afternoon.
According to the London Fire Department, crews responded to the fire at the farm in the area of Old Victoria and Wilton Grove roads sometime around 2 p.m.
It is not yet clear where the fire started however, fire officials said both a large building and the grass around it caught ablaze.
Residents reported seeing thick black smoke from the fire pluming into the sky from a number of areas across London.
No injuries were reported and no cattle were hurt.
More than three dozen fire fighters were needed to help extinguish the blaze with many remaining on scene all through the night putting out hot spots. Water had to be shuttle in tankers to the scene as there are no hydrants in the immediate area.
London police were on scene to assist with road closures. Old Victoria Road was closed between Wilton Grove Road and Discovery Drive. Wilton Grove was shut down between Commerce Road and Old Victoria. All roads have since reopened.
Damage is estimated at $2 million, according to an early estimate.
Fire officials remained on scene Wednesday working with backhoe operators to get to the "seat" of the fire.
