Hundreds of AMO Conference delegates gather in London

More than 1,500 Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) delegates will be in London for an annual conference.

Municipal leaders from across the province will gather for a three-day meeting from August 20 to August 23 at RBC Place London.

The delegates will discuss policy, participate in program workshops, and take study tours throughout the city.

London's Health and Homelessness Whole of Community System Response ,which includes the Hubs Implementation Plan, will be the subject of a conference-wide discussion involving Mayor Josh Morgan.

"Our community, like many others in Ontario, is working to find innovative solutions to unprecedented challenges. London is leading new approaches that many communities across the province are watching closely," Morgan said of the conference. "We look forward to sharing and learning together over the coming days."

Attendees will also learn about London's UNESCO City of Music designation, the Dundas Place flex street, innovative developments including 100 Kellogg Lane and West 5, and how the city is managing its biggest year of construction and infrastructure projects ever.

Provincial leaders will also be in attendance to speak and learn about urgent municipal issues.

AMO is a non-profit, non-partisan association that represents more than 400 municipal governments from across Ontario.

London last hosted the conference virtually in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and host again in the summer of 2027.
