London police believe there could be more victims after a man was charged with exposing himself and sexually assaulting a teenage girl.
Police were notified about the incident last week and immediately launched an investigation. Officers with the police sexual assault and child abuse section determined that in July 2021, a teenage girl met an adult man in the area of Wonderland and Sarnia roads. The pair became friends, with the teen and another girl coming to see the man on a daily basis.
The man provided the two girls with food and drugs regularly, police allege.
Over the more than two years that followed, the man allegedly showed the girls explicit videos and pictures on his cellphone. On one occasion the man reportedly exposed himself to one of the girls.
He is also alleged to have touched one of the girls "inappropriately."
Neither of the girls were physically hurt, police said.
Stephen Daniel Williamson, 36, of London was arrested last Thursday. He has since been charged with sexual assault of a person under the age of 16, sexual interference of a person under 16, indecent exposure to a person under 16, and two counts of making available sexually explicit material to person under or believed to be under 16 years of age.
Williamson, who remains in police custody, is scheduled to appear in London court on Tuesday.
"Investigators believe that there may be additional victims and are appealing to members of the public to contact them if they have any information in relation to this investigation, or if they had similar dealings with the accused," police said in a statement.
Williamson is known to frequent the area in and around the train overpass at Wonderland and Sarnia roads.
