Two charged in $32K drug bust in St. Thomas

St. Thomas police have seized more than $32,000 worth of fentanyl, meth, cocaine, and pills.

Officers with the police service's street crime unit and critical incident response team searched a home in the southwest-end of the city Wednesday morning as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation. Inside they turned up 61.6 grams of fentanyl, 11.8 grams of methamphetamine, 23.2 grams of cocaine, 55 Hydromorphone pills, 325.5 Dilaudid pills, and 55 Oxycocet pills

The approximate street value of the seized drugs is $32,424, police said.

A switchblade was also recovered by officers.

Two St. Thomas residents, aged 45 and 52, were arrested. They are charged with a combined 31 offences including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking. Both appeared in court and were remanded into custody.
