Parents and other interested residents can find out how students with the Upper Grand District School Board use technology to learn.
'Digital Saturday' takes place from 9am to 12:30pm tomorrow at Palmerston Public School.
This is the third Digital Saturday open house hosted by the board following similar events in Guelph and Orangeville.
Superintendent of Education for Information Technology Brent McDonald says there has been rapid growth in the use of technological tools and resources in Upper Grand Schools in recent years.
McDonald says many of those resources are available 24-7, so students don't have to stop learning at the end of the school day.
“We thought Saturday mornings would be a great time for both parents to come out and see what we’re doing,” says McDonald. “It’s a family event. Students are welcome too.”
Parents, residents and students can check out technology like Chromebooks, or Read and Write for Google. There are also digital resources such as Homework Help.
