With cases of sexually transmitted disease on the rise, the Grey Bruce Health Unit has launched an awareness campaign for those who should get regular testing.

The region has seen a 300 per cent increase in cases of Gonorrhea, which is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections in Canada.

The Grey Bruce area saw six cases in 2013, balloon to 25 cases in 2014.

And a similar pattern is developing for 2015

So the the Health unit is not only working ot increase awareness of sexually transmitted infections, it is also letting the public know about it's Pee in a Cup campaign.

People should take advantage of urine based testing for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia.

People are also warned to use safe sexual practices.

And those who take part in high risk sexual behavior, such as multiple partners, or unprotected sex, should visit their doctor every six months at least.
