The OPP is making some changes to its operations on the Bruce Peninsula.
The Bruce Peninsula OPP satellite detachment office on Main St. in Lions Head has officially closed as the OPP looks at an alternative location to continue to have police presence in the community of Northern Bruce Peninsula.
The Sauble OPP Satellite detachment will remain open for officers only, to complete administrative requirements.
An exterior phone beside the front door of the detachment will put users in direct contact 24/7 with the OPP communications centre which will assist callers by answering questions or by sending an officer to your location for help.
Exterior phones will also be located at the Tobermory Community Centre on Hwy. 6 in Northern Bruce Peninsula and at the Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment in Wiarton.
The OPP says the public will continue to receive full service including: police criminal record checks, general inquiries and information at the main OPP detachment in Wiarton, at 50 Berford St. in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
