The Stratford Festival has received nine nominations for this year's Canadian Screen Awards.
The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television announced the 2016 nominations this week.
The 2015 Stratford HD projects, King Lear, King John, and Antony and Cleopatra, have been honoured.
Executive Director Anita Gaffney says they are thrilled that their first installment of Stratford Festival HD project was recognized. She says the goal is to film all of Shakespeare's plays over ten years.
All of the HD films were broadcast on CBC-TV and screen at Cineplex theatres across the country.
The Canadian Screen Awards will be handed out at gala events in Toronto in March.
