Old man winter isn't quite finished with us, at least not yet.
For many folks in Midwestern Ontario, it was a scene of wintry white outside Sunday morning as mother nature brought more snowfall during the overnight and early morning hours causing slippery and snow covered roads throughout the region.
And according to Environment Canada, there's more on the way.
As the snow flurries continue to fall throughout the region, Environment Canada is keeping an eye on a large system of snow that's heading our way from western Michigan and should hit the region sometime around 3pm or 4pm.
"We're going to go from having these scattered flurries in some areas to having a general snowfall across the entire region," says Meteorologist Glenn Robinson.
Robinson says gusting winds later Sunday afternoon and this evening will create a lot of blowing snow in some areas causing reduced visibility on many roads and highways.
While the snow will continue into the evening and overnight hours with some areas getting upwards of 15-20 cm, it is expected to taper off sometime early Monday.
