Huron County is continuing it's battle against the invasive Phragmite plant.
Director of Operations Steve Lund says the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority is spraying on behalf of the county.
Lund says there are other options but spraying is the most effective because things like cutting the plant down doesn't deal with the roots.
Phragmites are more common in the south end of Huron County because the land is flatter and the drainage is not as good.
Lund says they are making progress with the spraying but it's something that has to be done every year. They are also spraying further north as the invasive plant spreads.
