Perth County's interim economic development coordinator is urging local employers to fill out the Employer One Survey before the end of the month.
Hannah Conroy says the Four County Labour Market Planning Board's fourth Annual survey helps identify labour market trends and support government funding requests for local needs.
The information is anonymous and looks at issues ranging from projected vacancies, hiring intentions, recruitment strategies and challenges. It also looks at the employers' views on candidate skills, training, and education.
Conroy says it is crucial for Perth County employers to respond so local results can be reviewed. Last year, the information in the survey was used to develop manufacturing specific training in Perth County through the provincial program, Connect2Skills.
"The survey provides valuable information by shedding light on the challenges and experiences of local employers, which can be used to implement new projects. I'd like to extend a sincere thank you to the businesses that are taking the time to participate. Your insight is greatly appreciated,” said Hannah Conroy, the interim economic development and tourism coordinator for Perth County.
“The EmployerOne survey provides us with the local data we need to encourage government funding to come to this rural community,” said Deb Hotchkiss, executive director for Partner’s in Employment.
