Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance uncertain about 2019 funding

The C-E-O of the Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance says the Alliance is going to have to do more with less in the next year.

Andrew Williams says a combination of things will impact their revenue for the next year.

"There are some programs we benefited from last year around energy efficiency dollars that are not coming in this year.    We have some infrastructure money that we have yet to hear from the LHIN on, so we're obviously working with them to see if we can secure it.  But at this point we're assuming less overall cash into the organization," he said.

Williams adds there is also some uncertainty regarding provincial funding.

"They had a review of the finances and I think they're just getting their head around the actual situation that they're facing.     Health Care is 60-billion dollars.     It's the largest, I'll say, the investment made by the government, so clearly any measures are going to influence health care in some way."

Williams says a Premier's Council has been established to look at of all the sectors funded by the Province and they're anxious to be part of that.
