Blyth Festival's artistic director describes the season's final play is a fantastic way to end the festival's 45th run.
Gil Garratt said "Bed and Breakfast" opens on Friday.
“Essentially it's about two fellas who have been living in a 400 square foot condo in Toronto who decide they've had enough of the rat race and they give up on their city life and they move back to the tourist town that one of them grew up in," said Garratt. "And they decide they're gonna start a bed and breakfast.”
The play's author, Mark Crawford, brought "The New Canadian Curling Club" to Blyth last year.
“Let's just say the town is not quite ready for Brett and Drew, nor are Brett and Drew quite ready for the town," added Garratt. "So it's a very smart, wonderful play and audiences have really just come to embrace Mark's wit and his perspective on life in the country.”
The Blyth Festival season concludes on September 28.
