Part of Midwestern Ontario is now under a Blizzard warning, as a major winter storm continues.

An intense squall has developed off Lake Huron. Locally, 50 centimetres or more of snow accumulation is possible. Life-threatening, impossible travel is expected in blizzard conditions.
As of 10 p.m. Thursday, a number of road closures have been put into place including Hwy. 21 from Grand Bend to Port Elgin and Hwy. 10 from Owen Sound to Shelburne and Hwy. 8 from Goderich to Sebringville.
In Wellington County, plows were pulled off the road.

Environment Canada said high winds and piles of snow expected to continue through Thursday and Friday.
Southern Bruce and Grey counties are under a blizzard warning, with a snow squall warning in effect for the rest of the region.
Flurries, snow squalls, and blowing snow will continue Thursday afternoon and overnight, with west winds gusting to 70 km/h. The region could see another 25 centimetres by the morning.
And there's no relief expected on Friday, as another 25 centimetres of snow is possible throughout the day, with snow squalls and blowing snow. Winds gusting to 60 km/h. Snow squalls may continue into Saturday.
Buses were cancelled throughout the region Thursday, and there are dozens of other cancellations.
Huron County, Saugeen Shores, Georgian Bluffs, Owen Sound and West Grey have declared significant weather events, meaning they cannot keep up with clearing the roads to ensure safe standards.
