The Ripley-Huron Fire Department has been the recipient of a generous donation.
The 26 volunteer firefighter squad will benefit from some new tools and equipment thanks to two local businesses. Station #150 received portable first aid kits and an Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.) from Baywood Interior Millwork in Kitchener and Amberley Pork & Grain Inc. The equipment will aid the fire crews when they respond to emergencies and will allow them to provide needed medical aid for people in medical distress.
The Ripley-Huron Fire Department serves the areas of Ripley, the Lakeshore communities, and the former Huron Township. They also supply support to the Lucknow & District Fire Department and Kincardine Fire Department under a Mutual Aid agreement.
