The Huron County Museum and Historic Gaol will host a Late Night at the Gaol on Wednesday evening.
Community and Engagement Coordinator Jim Seal says the event will be a fundraiser that celebrates local music, food and artisans but it will also be a look at the historic gaol in very different light.
“The event starts at five o'clock. There's an outside portion and then an inside portion. The outside portion is free for anyone to come. It has artisan vendors, food trucks and a silent auction so it's going to be a very good time at the outside of the jail,” he said. "We're going to have music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. We have Exeter's own Graham Bedard, we have local band Jellybean Blue. We're going to have complementary sweet treats from Wilhelmina Bakery. We have bar service from River Road Brewing.”
Seal says all of the proceeds from the event will go towards the redevelopment of the Huron County Museum’s Industry Gallery. More information about the project and how to support it can be found at https://www.huroncountymuseum.ca/industry-gallery-redevelopment/
